Users can simply install internet enabled cameras at their facilities and MobileSight handheld phones to access their live cameras. The MobileSight concentrators will be housed at an internet server farm. Users can use these MobileSight concentrators, remotely, to manage their user’s phone access or have their local MobileSight Value Added Reseller manage the video phone network for them.

The MobileSight concentrator can be located in a store or other retail location and provide remote users, with MobileSight enabled phones, to access the cameras in the stores. The MobileSight concentrators can be configured so they are Plug-and-Play.

MobileSight implemented the capability for Pocket PC and SmartPhones to use the MobileSight live video client and connect to both IP cameras as well as cameras connected to a MobileSight server.

Connections thru the server enable control by the MobileSight server administrator who will assign specific cameras as well as camera control capabilities for each user. Users can be added, deleted and monitored with this new MobileSight server connection capability. Beta version customers are able to access hundreds of secure cameras with the new MobileSight Pocket PC and SmartPhone client.

MobileSight provided demonstrations of its software system on the latest Sprint 6800 Mobile6 devices. These demonstrations included accessing live video from locations across the USA including government as well as commercial facilities. These capabilities can now be implemented for any customer with internet access.

MobileSight announces the MobileSight Remote Field Unit (MRFU) at Florida Police Chiefs Association Conference.

MobileSight demonstrated the new MobileSight Remote Field Unit (MRFU) at the Jacksonville, Florida Conference. The MobileSight Remote Field Unit (MRFU) is a self contained device which can display multiple live video feeds and archive onto self-contained removable hard drive media. The MRFU can be powered by 110 AC volts as well as 12 volt DC making it deployable in moving vehicle and stationary applications. The MRFU can connect to almost any network using integrated WiFi, Cell Phone EVDO or cable modem capabilities. The MRFU is being deployed in fixed, covert and moving camera applications.

MobileSight implements new database architecture for very large systems

MobileSight has now implemented a database structure to accommodate very large database sizes. The new MobileSight database structure enables cameras to be grouped for archived storage. This architecture enables high speed database retrieval as well as an enhances the ability to implement very large unlimited database systems.

MobileSight has implemented display clients that display the designated first collection of live camera video almost instantly. For emergency situations the live video feed, regardless of the number of camera feeds available, must be available in a few seconds. This capability is now implemented for all MobileSight display clients including the capability for individuals to predefine their own “first priority” live video camera collection.

MobileSight can provide live video as well as full camera controls on SmartPhones. With this new control feature, MobileSight now provides a menu of selectable camera presets. Users can select from this list of presets to operate the PTZ functions of the live cameras. Each camera preset is configured to correspond to a specific set of camera PTZ settings. With a single “click” the camera is panned, tilted and zoomed to the desired preset view.

MobileSight announces low bandwidth functionality.

Network bandwidth is one of the primary considerations in network implementation. Video traffic often requires a considerable portion of the available network bandwidth. MobileSight has implemented a low bandwidth function to reduce the bandwidth used when receiving camera video feeds. This functionality now enables a large number of cameras to operate on a network with minimal impact to the performance of other applications.

MobileSight implements automatic screen size configuration on SmartPhones.

Most SmartPhones use a screen resolution of 320 by 240 pixels. Some of the latest use different sizes such as the Palm Treo 700W which uses a screen resolution of 240 by 240 pixels. MobileSight can now adjust to these different screen sizes automatically. MobileSight detects the screen resolution on a SmartPhone and configures itself to the applicable screen size. As a result, MobileSight is automatically configured for SmartPhones such as the XV6700, Motorola Q and the Palm Treo 700W.
